Thank you for visiting d-audio.com (“Website”). We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process your information in line with applicable data protection laws of the Republic of North Macedonia and, where relevant, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our Website, online shop, contact forms, and newsletter, how we use that data, and what rights you have.
By using this Website, creating an account, contacting us, or placing an order, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
The company responsible for processing your personal data on this Website is:
CKALJA DOOEL Skopje – D-Audio
Jordan Filipovski br. 8
1000 Skopje, North Macedonia
Phone: +389 75 248 285
E-mail: info@d-audio.com
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle personal data, you can contact us at info@d-audio.com (subject: “Privacy / Personal Data”).
This Privacy Policy applies to:
the Website https://d-audio.com and its subpages (Home, Shop, About us, Contact us, etc.)
the online shop (cart, checkout, login/register, wishlist, compare)
our newsletter and promotional e-mails
communication via our contact form or direct e-mail.
It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we merely link to (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). Those services have their own privacy policies.
When you visit our Website, our server automatically stores certain information in so-called log files, for security and technical reasons, for example:
IP address of your device
date and time of access
requested page / URL
referring page (if your browser sends this)
browser type and version
operating system and device type.
We use this information primarily:
to ensure the technical operation and security of the Website
to detect and investigate misuse or attacks
to compile anonymous statistics (e.g. which pages are visited most).
Log files are stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes and are then deleted or anonymised.
When you order products through our online shop, we process the information you provide during checkout, for example:
first and last name
billing address and delivery address
company name (if you provide it)
phone number
e-mail address
ordered products, quantities, prices, order date and status
selected payment method and payment status (successful / failed).
Payment card details are processed by the payment service provider. We do not store your full card number on our own servers.
If you choose to register and create an account (Login / Register), we process:
name (if requested by the form)
e-mail address
username (if different from e-mail)
encrypted (hashed) password
account settings and preferences
order history linked to your account
wishlist and compare items.
You can manage or close your account at any time. If you request deletion, we will deactivate your account and delete or anonymise data that we are not required to keep for legal reasons.
When you contact us (e.g. via the contact form, e-mail, or phone), we process:
name (if you provide it)
e-mail address and/or phone number
subject and content of your message
any attachments you send us.
We use this data only to handle your request and any follow-up questions. We keep the communication for as long as necessary to handle your request and as required by law or business needs (for example, in case of disputes).
If you subscribe to our newsletter (e.g. via “Join our newsletter”), we process:
your e-mail address
optionally your name
technical data about whether newsletters were delivered and opened and which links were clicked (if tracking is enabled in the newsletter system).
We use this data to send you:
product news and new arrivals
special offers, promotions, and discount campaigns
information about events or D-Audio news.
You may unsubscribe at any time via the “Unsubscribe” link in each newsletter or by contacting us at info@d-audio.com. After unsubscribing, we will no longer send newsletters to you, but we may keep your e-mail address on a “do-not-contact” list to ensure we respect your choice.
We use cookies and similar technologies to make our Website function properly and to improve the user experience.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit our Website. They can be read when you revisit the site.
We generally use the following types:
Strictly necessary cookies
required for basic functions such as cart, checkout, login, and security
without these cookies the site or shop cannot function correctly.
Functional cookies
store your preferences (e.g. language, region)
support features like wishlist, compare, or “stay logged in”.
Analytics / performance cookies (if enabled)
help us understand how visitors use our Website (e.g. which pages are visited most, how long users stay)
we may use tools such as Google Analytics or similar services to collect anonymous statistics.
Marketing cookies (only if explicitly used and consented)
could be used to show you relevant ads or measure marketing campaigns.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling certain cookies may limit the functionality of our Website, especially the shop and login.
To understand and improve how our Website is used, we may use web analytics services (for example, Google Analytics or similar tools).
If we use such a service, it generally works as follows:
the service uses cookies to analyse how you use the Website
information about your use (including your IP address) may be transmitted to a server of the provider (sometimes outside your country) and stored there
we use this information to compile reports about Website activity (e.g. visitor numbers, popular pages) and to improve our Website and offers
your IP address is usually shortened (anonymised) before storage, so personal identification is more difficult.
You can usually opt out of analytics by:
adjusting your browser settings (rejecting cookies), and/or
using opt-out tools or add-ons offered by the analytics provider.
For specific details (including links to opt-out tools), we will list the active analytics services in a separate section on the Website or in an updated version of this Policy once they are implemented.
Our Website may contain links to our profiles on social networks (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) or share buttons.
If you click such a link or button:
you will be redirected to the respective third-party site
that provider may collect and process personal data about you (for example, your IP address, which page you came from, your actions on their platform) according to their own privacy policy.
We do not have control over the data collected by these third-party providers. For more information, please check the privacy policies of the respective services (e.g. Facebook, Instagram).
We process your personal data on the following legal bases (depending on the situation):
Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps
processing necessary to handle your order, payment, delivery, returns, and warranty
managing your customer account.
Compliance with a legal obligation
accounting, tax laws, and business record-keeping obligations
obligations under personal data protection law (e.g. security, documentation).
Legitimate interests
ensuring IT security and the operation of our Website
prevention of abuse and fraud
answering general customer inquiries
basic direct marketing to existing customers (for similar products/services), where permitted by law and always with an easy opt-out.
Consent
sending newsletters and certain marketing communications
using non-essential cookies or specific analytics/marketing tools where required by law.
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with future effect by contacting us or using the tools provided (e.g. unsubscribe link, cookie settings). This does not affect the legality of processing before the withdrawal.
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients, only as far as necessary:
Shipping and logistics partners (courier services, transport companies)
to deliver your ordered goods to your address.
Payment service providers and banks
to process payments for your orders.
IT and hosting service providers
to host and maintain our Website, databases, and e-mail systems.
Newsletter / e-mail service providers
to send transactional e-mails (order confirmations, password resets) and newsletters.
Professional advisers
accountants, auditors, legal consultants, if needed for our business and legal compliance.
Authorities and public bodies
where we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. tax authorities, regulatory bodies, courts).
In all such cases, we ensure that processing is limited to what is necessary for the specific purpose and that recipients are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations (e.g. via data processing agreements where required).
Our main processing activities take place in North Macedonia and, where applicable, the European Union.
If we use service providers located in countries outside the EU/EEA or outside North Macedonia, we will ensure that an adequate level of data protection is in place, for example through:
adequacy decisions by the European Commission (for relevant countries), and/or
standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards.
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. In particular:
Order and invoice data: stored for the duration of statutory retention periods (e.g. accounting and tax laws, typically several years).
Customer account data: kept while your account is active; if you request deletion, we deactivate your account and delete or anonymise data not needed for legal obligations.
Contact inquiries: kept as long as necessary to resolve your request and for any follow-up, then deleted or archived in line with legal requirements.
Newsletter data: stored while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete or block your data for newsletter purposes, but may retain it in a minimal form to respect your opt-out choice.
Log files and technical data: kept for a short period necessary for security and operation (unless longer retention is required for incident investigation).
After the respective retention periods expire, data is deleted or anonymised in a secure manner.
Under applicable data protection laws, you have various rights relating to your personal data:
Right of access
You can request confirmation as to whether we process personal data about you and, if so, receive a copy of that data and related information (e.g. purposes, categories, recipients, storage periods).
Right to rectification
You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data about you.
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
You can request deletion of your personal data, for example if it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, if you withdraw consent and there is no other legal basis, or if data was processed unlawfully.
We may not be able to delete data where we are legally obliged to keep it (e.g. invoices).
Right to restriction of processing
You can request that we temporarily limit processing, for example if you contest the accuracy of the data or object to our legitimate interest, for the duration of the review.
Right to data portability
For certain data that you have provided to us and that we process based on consent or contract by automated means, you can request that we provide it to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or that we transmit it to another controller, where technically feasible.
Right to object
You can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing we base on our legitimate interests. We will then stop processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds.
You can object at any time to processing for direct marketing. If you do so, we will stop using your data for such purposes.
Right to withdraw consent
Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with future effect (e.g. unsubscribe from newsletter, change cookie settings).
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia or another competent supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@d-audio.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. These measures include, for example:
use of secure connections (HTTPS / SSL)
restricted access to systems and data (only authorised personnel)
regular updates and maintenance of our IT infrastructure
backups and, where necessary, encryption.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We continuously review and improve our security measures.
Our Website and online shop are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 years of age without parental consent.
If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us so that we can delete such data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new services or if legal requirements change.
When we make significant changes, we will:
update the “Last updated” date at the top, and
where appropriate, inform you via the Website or by e-mail.
We recommend checking this page regularly to stay informed about how we protect your data.
